Tsuji House

Tsuji House

For the past 2 & a half years many wwofers have called Tsuji house their home. It has been a  great project house, a blank canvas Gen acquired 2 & half years ago with half an inch of dust and no kitchen.

After a lot of hard work from previous wwofers the house became livable, & this year I have seen a lot of changes in the place, most notable though was the people.

As the house for the community project Nou-En (Agricultural help), we lived together and shared each others stories and dreams as we worked toward providing a service to the local farming community and ourselves with food and sustenance.

During summer, the project was in full swing, as farmers needed help with black bean planting and weeding. Our own projects included harvesting 4000 onions, making miso & umeboshi, raising chickens and growing lots & lots of summer veggies.

I enjoyed everyones company in some way, some in hindsight, but I made some great friends as a `housemate`. It was a lot of fun, from eating dinner Italian style, that is men dressed as women & women dressed as women, and Tobys bad jokes about typhoon warnings & an induction for unassuming new wwoofers - a shot of umeboshi juice.

Then there were 3, during the bitter Sasayama winter hibernating in the woodstove room talking about new world order & morality with Seth, interesting times thanks Seth, i`ll remember those day long discussions, breadcrumbs- whatever!

Oh yeah, the surrounding area is beautiful!
